New appointments signify sector growth for Synectics

Synectics has further expanded its sales team in response to increased demand for its surveillance solutions from key industry sectors.

Valerie Guesdon and David Short join Synectics as Business Development Managers, with responsibility for Public Space clients operating in the North and South respectively. Valerie will also focus on customer solutions specific to the Banking sector.

In addition to these new appointments, Karen Churchill, formerly Area Sales Manager for the North, has been appointed Sales Manager and will lead the Business Development and Sector teams.

Continued growth in the Critical Infrastructure (CI) market also sees Karen continuing to provide consultative support to CI clients including major utilities and petrochemical businesses.

Azadar Shah, Managing Director for Synectics’ networks division, said: “Synectics has a strong heritage in Public Space and our position is expanding. Banking and Critical Infrastructure are increasingly important markets for the business and as such, it is crucial that we continue to add value for clients in these sectors by investing in a team that is knowledgeable about the issues, factors and trends specific to them. The collective expertise and experience of Valerie, David and Karen will be invaluable to support future growth plans as we move forward in 2013.”

Valerie joins Synectics from deView Europe where she held the post of European Sales & Marketing Executive, specialising in banking security, specifically ATM security solutions.

David’s expertise with analogue and wireless CCTV transmissions, as well as 3G, WiFi, RF and COFDM networks, is extensive. He joins Synectics from Wireless CCTV where, as Southern Sales Manager, he managed accounts spanning local government, transport, and banking, working with agencies such as the MOD, Highways Agency and Network Rail.

Karen, who has been with Synectics for over nine years, said of the new appointments and her promotion: “As a long-standing member of the team, it’s so rewarding to see the business moving forward and to be part of that process. Having the right people in the right place to meet the specific security needs of industry sectors is so important. As these changes demonstrate, this is something that is and always has been central to Synectics’ development as a business.”
