Global MSC is building on the success of 2014

This year looks at Technology and Innovation in the Security Industry Global MSC’s annual conference, supported again by media partner SecurityNewsDesk and once more sponsored by BT Redcare Surveillance, is celebrating their 10th Anniversary of educational seminars. The event takes place on 9th & 10th November 2015 at The Bristol Hotel in Bristol City Centre. This year looks at Technology and Innovation in the Security Industry, and is shaping up to be the most informative since the events began, with a varied and packed programme to look forward to. Speakers at this year’s event include, Tony Porter, Surveillance Camera Commissioner; Emma Carr, Big Brother Watch; and Dr Tim Brain, Former Chief Constable of Gloucestershire Constabulary. They will all be taking to the stage independently, followed by a panel discussion surrounding the various aspects that security and technology play from an operational and legal point of view. Other speakers include Professor William Webster from the University of Stirling talking about the rise of SMART CCTV Technology, and also Avon and Somerset Constabulary and Bristol City Council talking about the deployment and operation of ANPR technology around the city for both journey times and police intelligence purposes. However, Global MSC Security does more than provide a packed programme. It also aims to raise awareness and funds on the Monday evening, that last year saw it raise over £2,000 for two charities. Above & Beyond Golden Gift Appeal and St Margaret’s Hospice were chosen in honour of the late Gordon McLanaghan, known and greatly missed Bristol City Council Emergency Control Room Manager, who passed away following a battle with cancer in July 2014. Derek Maltby, MD of Global MSC Security says “Last year we launched the Gordon McLanaghan Security Innovation Award 2015 in conjunction with Security News Desk and this year we will be opening and accepting nominations shortly for this prestigious trophy and £1,000 cash prize”.
