Jacksons Fencing recently joined forces with cricketing legends Mike Gatting and Steven Finn, to lend their support to the NatWest Cricket Force Showcase Event in Bognor Regis to spruce up the cricket club.

The company has been an active supporter of the NatWest CricketForce campaign for six years, which is an England and Wales Cricket Board volunteering initiative aimed at rejuvenating the nation’s cricketing facilities.

NatWest CricketForce encourages cricket supporters, their friends and families to give something back to their local community cricket club by volunteering to undertake major renovations to clubhouses and grounds, typically over a specialist ‘showcase’ weekend. 1,914 clubs took part in the 2011 event and last weekend’s it was the turn of Bognor Regis Cricket Club, Sussex to enjoy a sporting makeover.

Jacksons Fencing played a pivotal role in the success of the day by providing a run of picket fencing and matching gates, as well an army of Jacksons Fencing volunteers to ensure a professional installation of the smart new boundary line.

In addition to the supply of fencing for Bognor Regis Cricket Club, Jacksons also donated 125m of Ball-Stop Fencing to Bishop’s Waltham Cricket Club in Hampshire.

The company also runs an exclusive Friends and Family Scheme for English Cricket Board which enables members of the scheme to enjoy up to 25 per cent discount on over 1200 fencing products displayed on the Jacksons Fencing web site, regardless of the order value.

For every purchase made through the NatWest CricketForce Friends and Family Scheme, Jacksons donates  0.5 per cent of the total sale into the Cricket Fund, which goes towards funding for key projects.

Commenting on the success of the Bognor Regis event, business development manager Marcia Francis said, “It is always a privilege to be part of these showcase events and to witness in such a short space of time, the amazing transformation of a cricket ground.

“It is important that these ‘make-over’ projects provide lasting, quality solutions and as such represent a genuine legacy to the local community – for these reasons it is entirely fitting for Jacksons Fencing to be associated with the NatWest CricketForce initiative.”
