NTT Com Security AG appoints new Chief Executive Officer, Frank Brandenburg, and new Chief Financial Officer, Martin J. Naughalty

Simon Church and Heiner Luntz leave NTT Com Security AG following a successful period of strategic repositioning and growth

NTT Com Security AG has announced important changes to its Management Board (Vorstand).

Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Simon Church and Heiner Luntz, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) have decided to step down from their positions at NTT Com Security with effect as of 31st July 2015 having completed a successful period of strategic repositioning and growth. As of 1st August 2015, they will be replaced by Frank Brandenburg, Senior Vice President, Central Europe as CEO and Martin J. Naughalty, Senior Vice President, Global Finance and Operations as CFO.

Both Brandenburg and Naughalty have been promoted from within NTT Com Security to continue to drive the global growth of the company. The organisation will continue to expand its security capabilities to service global customers, which will mean ongoing investment into products, platforms, services as well as improved career opportunities for its employees.

Luc Loos, Chairman of NTT Com Security AG’s Supervisory Board, said: “We would like to thank Simon and Heiner for their outstanding achievements in driving NTT Com Security’s global development and growth, particularly their roles in establishing the company as one of the key players in global information security and risk management. Their commitment to the company, their teams, their partners and their customers, plus their understanding of an increasingly attractive market opportunity has enabled us to increase revenue from €166m (Euros) in CY2009 to an expected approximate revenue of €300m plus (Euros) in FY2015/16 and establish ourselves as a trusted advisor. We wish both Simon and Heiner well as they leave to pursue other activities.”

Tetsuya Shoji, CEO of NTT Communications, added: “We are delighted that Frank and Martin have accepted the roles of CEO and CFO, respectively. They know NTT Com Security inside and out having worked with the company for several years. We are confident of a seamless transition within the management team as they take up their new roles. With the full support of my company, NTT Communications, we have no doubt that they will take NTT Com Security to the next stage of our global growth. With increasing cyber threat around the world, we expect NTT Com Security to become a core player within NTT Group and expand career opportunities for its employees as well.”

NTT Com Security CEO Simon Church said: “These are exciting times for NTT Com Security. We have witnessed an unprecedented increase in cyber-attacks with organisations of all sizes in every sector now having to consider their IT security and information risk management exposure. The company is in an excellent position to continue to develop and launch its portfolio of global security, governance, risk and compliance solutions, offering consulting, managed services and the most appropriate technologies. Both Heiner and I would like to commend our team, our customers and our partners on bringing innovation, development and opportunity to the table, helping us to get to where we are today. We both feel that we have achieved what we set out to do. Heiner will, no doubt, be announcing his upcoming role sometime soon, but I can say that I will be moving into my new role as Executive in Residence at C5 Capital, Europe’s first dedicated investor in the data and security sectors. I look forward to keeping close ties within the industry.”
