UK Security Expo Launch Reception at the House of Commons

UK Security Expo successfully launched last night at the House of Commons

“The time is right” was the key message from the Launch Reception for UK Security Expo, held earlier this week at the House of Commons. Presented to a packed room of key figures from Government and Industry, the time is right to fly the flag for Great Britain and showcase the very best of innovative security capabilities to a global audience.

“I am well aware of the longstanding desire for the UK to host a major-scale flagship event that welcomes a global end-user audience and recognises the UK as a centre-of-excellence for security capability.”

Rt Hon. Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean PC

“The best way to get the amazing security capabilities we have in our nation out there is to create a large show similar to DSEI which can be the best in the world – that show is UK Security Expo.”
Admiral Lord West of Spithead

“UK Security Expo will unite Government and Industry, will recognise the UK as a centre-of- excellence and will bring security and defence together to tackle global security issues.”
Peter Jones, CEO, 19 Events

The UK is well versed to tackling the threat from international terrorism and has been attacked for many decades with the IRA bringing its bombing campaign to London in the 1970s and has gone on to face diverse threats from a range of organisations including Al Qaeda, ISIS and the lone terrorist. The UK’s security and intelligence agencies face a vast challenge in tackling a three dimensional threat that comes from home, overseas and online.

The UK has also safely hosted many iconic major events including a Royal Wedding, Olympics, Queen’s Jubilee, Commonwealth Games, NATO Summit and the Rugby World Cup. Our security and intelligence agencies are envied across the globe and our British providers of security solutions, both Primes and SMEs, are among the most innovative worldwide.

For these reasons the time is right to host a major-scale high-end global security event here in London.

UK Security Expo will open its doors on 30 November – 1 December 2016 with a clear vision to become the largest and most prestigious security event globally. Over 8,000 end-user heads of security will attend from eight core sectors: Transport, Government, Energy, Major Events, Communications, Finance, Utilities and the Private Sector such as retail and hotel chains.

FREE TO ATTEND – REGISTER YOUR INTEREST HERE

Not only will UK Security Expo set a benchmark for quality of attendance, innovation, live immersive demonstrations and a vast range of free educational content to deliver the visitors, it will also feature the new format of DESIGN | SECURE | RESPOND. This means attendees will also have the opportunity to engage and influence planning consultants and engineers from the concept stage of new build and refurbishment. As well as the agencies who respond when security is breached.

Over 250 stands will showcase at this year’s UK Security Expo and stand space is rapidly selling out.

REGISTER YOUR INTEREST in attending the show as a visitor FREE or in taking one of the remaining few exhibition stands at UK Security Expo 2016 today.
