ievo integrate with Herongrange access control systems

Security system providers, Herongrange Ltd of Northampton, have become the latest organisation to integrate biometric fingerprint readers designed and manufactured by Newcastle-based ievo Ltd with their own security access system.

ievo’s CPNI approved readers have proved extremely popular with security equipment specifiers, particularly in the construction sector, due to their robust nature and IP65 certification. The integration with Herongrange systems offers clients a multi-layer security services to meet the changing needs of site access and workforce management. The biometric lead solution can reduce the risk of unauthorised access to sites and reduce fraudulent access and time recording commonly associated with traditional PIN or card controlled systems.

Herongrange also work closely with the CITB so that the ievo readers integrated into the Access Control software can identify construction personnel who need to update their CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) qualifications and even bar access to those whose qualifications have lapsed. The data provided by the fingerprint reader also provides site managers and other personnel reliable Health & Safety and payroll information on exactly who is on site at any one time.

Keri Feeney, ievo Ltd’s Central Region Account Manager, “The integration with Herongrange’s access control system is another demonstration of the ievo ethos of constant development and accessibility for the access control market. The expansion of our integration portfolio provides more opportunities not only for ievo, but for our growing installer network, these partnership are incredibly valuable to advancing within our target markets alongside our partners.”

David Pell IT Director of Herongrange Ltd commented, “Access Control is one of our key services with which we have built up an extremely good reputation nationwide with our construction clients for offering the very latest innovations in the security market to enable us to provide client-tailored, highly cost-effective services. The integration of the ievo biometric readers for infallible data capture gives clients the confidence of knowing only authorised personnel have site access and reliable reports can be generated for Health & Safety and payroll information. Our reporting suite is created in-house meaning we can create reports to exactly reflect clients SHE and commercial requirements.”

“The ievo biometric readers provide secure and reliable solutions ideal for our working environments and offer configuration for sites with single access points to complex, multi-site enterprise level systems. Due to the multispectral imaging technology, they are able to correctly identify a registered fingerprint even with surface contaminants present on the skin (such as dirt, dust and debris – a common problem on work sites), and connect directly to our access control system to provide a full access control and workforce management package. The integration of the two company’s products and expertise is enabling new and existing customers to enjoy a superior level of security, usability and efficiency, whilst significantly reducing operational costs.”
