A successful show for SDS Group at Counter Terror Expo

Once again, Counter Terror Expo was a fantastic show for counter terror specialists SDS Group with several new product launches creating a great deal of interest with existing and new clients providing many potential opportunities globally.

As appointed main strategic partners of Radio Physics Solutions for the UK and EU, a great deal of interest came with regards to the MiRTLE, a hand-held and static concealed threat detection system utilising very low power ultra wide band active imaging MMW radar technology detecting concealed weapons including 3D handguns and PBIEDs. Unaffected by environmental conditions, the MiRTLE is easy to operate offering a greater stand-off distance and touch screen tracking an option. With technology developed by scientists at Manchester Metropolitan University, MiRTLE has successfully completed operational trials in both the UK and the US.

SDS, as UK distributors for leading X-ray specialists Vidisco, also had on show the latest SparX system, a high quality 16-bit X-ray flat panel with inherent wireless capability with an extremely lightweight and smaller rugged case or backpack for increased mobility. The new Toughpad multi-touchscreen tablet upgrade option with ruggedized docking keyboard for ease of use and portability was also exhibited, uniquely modified to support all of Vidisco’s configuration features to operate with Vidisco’s newly-designed Xbit software with the newest digital portable X-ray accessory, the powerful WifiX for extra long-range wireless communication of up to one mile in line of sight. This unit enables X-ray operators using Vidisco’s systems the ability to conduct scans quickly and easily from up to a mile away with the simple click of a button. The WifiX not only enables operation from a substantial distance but also improves wireless communication within buildings where there may also be physical obstructions.

SDS were also pleased to show a small part of the Ebinger search and location product range, which included the latest Ebinger Advanced TDEM detection system the UPEX 745 P2I DF innovative circular coil detection system for increased detection and resolution.
