A10 Networks, a technology leader in application networking, announced today that its Thunder Series application delivery controllers (ADCs) running ACOS 2.x and including the distributed denial of service (DDoS) feature set have achieved certified integration with SAP® applications. These A10 Thunder Series solutions have been tested and verified to integrate with SAP solutions, providing customers with higher reliability and availability, as well as security against increasingly sophisticated security threats like DDoS attacks.
The A10 Thunder Series achieved certified integration with SAP applications based on the newest generation of tests of network security, reliability and availability conducted by the SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC). The A10 Thunder Series integrates with SAP solutions and provides improved application reliability, availability, and security functions for on-premise and cloud solutions from SAP.
“We are delighted to announce the successful achievement of SAP certification for the A10 Thunder Series,” said Glen Ogden, Regional Sales Director, Middle East at A10 Networks. “The ability of the Thunder Series to leverage the business potential of SAP solutions will prove highly beneficial to current and future customer engagements.”
Customers receive the following benefits when deploying A10 Thunder Series ADCs within an SAP-based infrastructure:
- Load balancing for high availability for application servers, to help prevent application failure
- Improved application security by using X.509 certificates and other mechanisms, which authenticates clients prior to connecting to cloud solutions from SAP, ensuring clients are valid for the back-end SAP application
- Greater application security from DDoS attacks and ability to protect SAP applications from attacks over the Web by using the Thunder Series as a Web application firewall (WAF) and reverse proxy defence
- Rapid distribution of client traffic across multiple application servers to provide scalability in an SAP solution environment
