Under the leadership of the new managing director, Christian Maag, ABUS Security-Center has announced the acquisition of TRIGRESS Security.

The acquisition is a logical step following a long-term and close cooperation between the German manufacturer of high-quality products and its exclusive Swiss trading partner. Correspondingly, not only are all jobs safe, but under the leadership of the new managing director, ABUS also plans to maintain its unwavering commitment to its growth trajectory in the coming years.

ABUS Security-Center has been the new proprietor of the Swiss company TRIGRESS Security, based in Baar, since 16 August 2013. The acquisition is the outcome of an increasingly close cooperation between ABUS Security-Center and its long-term, exclusive sales partner. The two companies have enjoyed a successful partnership for 12 years. All employees of TRIGRESS Security have been retained. All partners of TRIGRESS Security will therefore be retaining their trusted contact persons, while at the same time profiting from direct access to the innovative products made by ABUS Security-Center. These products include alarm and video surveillance products, intercom systems and detectors, as well as a retail portfolio of products for self-installation by the end user. The ABUS Security-Center products always adhere to a consistent security concept: mechanical and electronic components, alarm systems, and video surveillance are combined into integral solutions. An example of this is the Secvest 2WAY wireless alarm system with mechatronic preventative detectors, which counteract attempts to prise open windows and doors by applying 1 tonne of mechanical resistance, at the same time as drawing attention to the perpetrator by sounding the alarm.

The prerequisites for ongoing growth on the Swiss market have been met: “The takeover of TRIGRESS Security strengthens our position on the Swiss market ”, as Benjamin Pflaum, managing director of ABUS Security-Center GmbH, explains. “In Switzerland in particular, our customers value reliable, networked security solutions with an elegant design ”, states Pflaum. To continue reinforcing the close partnership with professional security installation contractors and retail outlets in Switzerland, there will be clearly distinguished product ranges: “Within the scope of the retail and professional cooperation, we will be offering two self-contained product ranges there, both of which have been tailored exactly to the needs of security installation contractors and specialist dealers and which will be expanded step-by-step over the coming years ”, as Pflaum describes the new product strategy.

ABUS Security-Center is a manufacturer of innovative alarm systems, video surveillance systems, door intercom systems and detectors. As a member of the ABUS Group, the company is specialised both in industry-specific security requirements as well as the demands which private users have. The development of particularly user-friendly and fully-integrated security products is its priority: a fusion of mechanical components, electronics, alarms and video surveillance to produce integral security solutions. ABUS Security-Center, which maintains its headquarters in the Augsburg area, has its manufacturing, research and development sites in Kiel and Taipei. While its key focus is Europe, the company is represented worldwide. ABUS was honoured as the “Most Innovative Brand 2013 ” by the Plus X Award in the category “Electrical and Media Technology ”.
