AD Aerospace, part of AD Group, will be exhibiting its aircraft video systems for safety and security at the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2012 in Hamburg, Germany. Key products will include its aerospace certified video server allowing safety and security cameras from around an aircraft to be displayed on pilots Electronic Flight Bags and interfaced to Smart phones or tablets for use by Air Marshals and Cabin Crew throughout the aircraft.

“The use of video systems to increase on board security and safety is now well established with airlines with cockpit door systems being standard equipment in many regions.” said Mike Horne, Managing Director AD Aerospace. “We are seeing increased use of camera systems beyond this basic use to areas such as helping cabin crew passenger awareness, anti baggage theft and monitoring areas inaccessible to the flight crew such as above the galley or in the avionics bay for smoke and fire.”

AD Aerospace’s FlightVu Video Systems offer airlines and airframers the most efficient and cost effective way of increasing safety and security throughout an aircraft. Examples of where video can be used to increase security include cockpit access, baggage / cargo security, passenger cabin surveillance, in case of air rage, and perimeter security for parked aircraft. FlightVu equipment is STC’d across a wide range of commercial airliners and is available as production options on Boeing, Bombardier, Eurocopter, COMAC and AVIC aircraft.

Aircraft Interiors Expo is the launch pad for cabin programmes showcasing tomorrow’s designs, in-flight entertainment, connectivity and passenger services. Addressing the key industry issues such as weight saving materials, space efficient designs and refurbishment solutions; Aircraft Interiors Expo delivers 3 days of unrivalled networking opportunities where buyers from around the world come to see the latest product innovation and seek solutions for their business needs.
