Last Night on Channel 4 in the UK, the VF30 high-tech fingerprint employee time clock from Anviz was featured in the TV program ‘Undercover Boss’…

‘Martyn Birks, a director of Poundworld, goes undercover to discover why some of the budget chain stores are failing to perform as well as expected and why employee turnover is high’.

Poundworld is a discount retail giant specialising in selling value brand products.

With 120 stores across the UK and 150 million pound turnover Poundworld rely on our VF30 to manage their vast workforce.

The VF30 was shown to accurately record the Poundworld employees attendance by the employee simply placing their finger on the wall mounted scanner.

The VF30 is remote linked via the stores computer network to an advanced PC software suite which can produce highly detailed reports based on the employees recorded attendance.
The reports can then be used by the store manager to issue staff wages based on the hours worked and their possible late attendance etc.

The individual store managers comply with policy rules set by Poundworld’s own head office and during the show Martyn failed to clock in and out,  so the Poundworld manager at their biggest store in High Wycombe deducted two hours pay from his own undercover boss!
Later Martyn commented about the companies strict policy and actually thought his own store manager should have been more forgiving with the new trainee!

The full TV program can be viewed here.

And more information about the VF30 can be found on our website…  http://www.anviz.com/en/products/view.html?id=13
