This morning Belgian police have detained 3 men Belgian town of Kortrijk with links to “radicalized groups”. It is reported they found weapons in their homes.
Kortrijk is a Belgian city and municipality located in the Flemish province West Flanders. It is the capital and biggest city of the arrondissement of Kortrijk, and is close to the French town of Lille and 2 hours drive North of Paris.
In separate reporting there is chatter around ISIS social media channels suggesting that an attack against a western country is being anticipated within the next 7 days. However, in the past day there has been an increase in chatter calling for further attacks – “now we will attack you from within”. The perceived success of the Paris attacks have emboldened ISIS to try and stimulate activity outside Syria and Iraq.
