CLD Physical Security Systems (CLD) has successfully provided a comprehensive perimeter security solution to a prestigious Blue-chip client in North America within an unprecedented 10-day timeframe. This rapid response has facilitated the resurgence of cargo operations between Air Canada and Glasgow’s Prestwick Airport for the first time in three decades.
Facing an urgent security requirement, the client engaged CLD, a global leader in security fencing solutions, to specify, manufacture, and deliver a bespoke system to secure property lines around their site.
CLD utilised 2,700 linear metres of its FenceSafe Eclipse on-ground rigid mesh fencing combined with 14 sets of on-ground solar-powered LockMaster swing gates. The FenceSafe Eclipse was chosen for its durability and adaptability, meeting stringent security standards, while the LockMaster gate system provided sustainable access control in line with the client’s environmental objectives.
The entire system was manufactured, dispatched, and transported to North America by a dedicated air charter service within 10 days of the order being placed, showcasing CLD’s agility and responsiveness.
Scan Global Logistics, a renowned global freight forwarder, arranged and chartered a Boeing 767 Freighter aircraft to deliver the order. The handling at Glasgow Prestwick Airport marked a significant milestone, with Air Canada using the airport for the first time in 30 years.
