CQR to exhibit at the NSI Installer Summit

CQR are once again proud to be taking part in this year’s NSI Installer Summit.

We are looking forward to meeting the many NSI approved companies who will be attending, to discuss CQR’s range of Fire & Security products, which includes the NEW PADP3 Hold-up device as well as the upcoming changes in alarm cable standards BS4737-3.30:2015.

DP3 Hold Up Device

The double push range of PA Buttons are suitable for use in Grade 3 installations. Inside the traditional double push design is a selection of end-of-line resistors for the convenience of the installer.

Following consultation with distributors and installers, CQR has made improvements to the design of its double push hold up device. The NEW DP3 includes a screw to secure the front cover, original key to reset and tactile flush activated buttons. With an improved case / backplate and improved access for cable entry there is now no requirement to remove the PCB.

Cable

CQR are the leading UK manufacturer of cables for intrusion detection, access control and fire retardant applications. All our cables are manufactured at our specialist factory in the UK. We offer a range of cables to meet the latest BS4737-3.30:2015 standard including the latest Low Smoke Zero Halogen.

BS4737-3.30:2015

The BSI has introduced a new cable standard, BS4737-3.30:2015, which will come into force on the 1st April 2016.

Over the past few years there has been an increase in the amount of substandard security cables available on the UK market. These cables have caused security systems to experience faults and in some case failures and are often the weakest link in otherwise high quality installations. Reputable installers can sometimes fall foul of these poor quality cables because there was no standard and no labelling requirements required. The security industry has recognised this weakness and with the BSI have published BS4737-3.30:2015 Specification for insulated and sheathed cables for interconnection wiring. The new standard will give installers clear indication of the quality of the cable they are using.

Low Smoke Zero Halogen

Manufactured to BS4737-3.30:2015 Type 1, LSZH cable is a requirement where the protection of people and equipment from toxic and corrosive gas is critical.
