Critical Infrastracture Protection and Resilience North America – call for abstracts, deadline extended January 11th 2019

The Advisory Committee is currently inviting abstracts for consideration for the 2019 conference programme. Increasing levels of international terrorism and changes in the global climate continue to pose a very real and escalating threat to critical national infrastructure around the world. The United States, as the world’s largest economy has some of the most developed and interdependent infrastructure in the world and is therefore arguably one of the most vulnerable.
Terrorism, Cyber Terrorism and man-made disasters as well as natural disasters such flooding and extreme weather conditions all pose a threat to the efficient delivery of vital services. Understanding the threats and vulnerabilities and how to defend and mitigate against them is essential. Conversation, co-operation and collaboration are key factors in ensuring that information is shared with the right people in a timely manner.
There are 16 critical infrastructure sectors whose assets, systems, and networks, whether physical or virtual, are considered so vital to the United States that their incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on security, national economic security, national public health or safety.
Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resilience North America brings together leading stakeholders from industry, operators, agencies and governments to debate and collaborate on securing North America’s critical infrastructure.
The Advisory Committee is now accepting abstracts for consideration for inclusion in the 2019 conference programme.
