The DualCom Gemini Managed Network handles over 1 billion calls each month and is the platform that provides the Critical Connectivity® for hundreds of thousands of protected premises throughout Europe. We have recently recruited four new members to join the Network Team, responsible for monitoring and maintaining Gemini. The now twenty-five strong team work closely with the technical support desk utilising real-time network feeds to identify potential issues and notify our customers proactively.
Alex Papayianni joins us as an Apprentice Developer, Anup Sharma as a Software Developer and both Graham Clarke and Paras Patel as Infrastructure Engineers. All four will add a fresh spark to the well-established Network Team.
Alex and Paras are the fifth and sixth apprentices to join CSL DualCom and will gain invaluable on-the-job experience whilst working towards a qualification. CSL DualCom founded the 100 in 100 Apprenticeships initiative in 2011 and have long been advocates for the benefits of employing apprentices. They are enthusiastic, ready to embrace industry changes and a cost-effective way to home grow a robust talent pipeline for the future. We are also supporters of graduate employment and in the last two years alone nine graduates have joined the business.
Since its launch 100 in 100 has placed over 1,800 apprentices into careers in the security industry. Most recently 100 in 100 received recognition from Downing Street in a personal letter from Prime Minister David Cameron. The Prime Minister wrote: “apprenticeships are an important way of giving young people the chance to reach their potential, giving them what it takes to get a good job and helping them to secure finances in the year ahead”.
