Now in its fifth year, the GSN awards programme recognises companies that have displayed excellence in delivering unique products to federal, state, county and municipal government agencies. The expert judging panel selected Gallagher’s Integrated Perimeter Security System from a competitive field of hundreds of applicants, highlighting the product’s ability to simultaneously reduce costs, increase efficiency, improve security and provide an innovative solution that offers excess capacity to address future organisational requirements.
Gallagher’s comprehensive technology – employed throughout a number of sites across America including; South West Florida Water Works, Birmingham Water and a number of high security sites – was commended for its seamless integration of perimeter security with access control and related security applications by providing a single, intuitive user interface that centralises command and control functions.
Key features of note include the system’s ability to incorporate GIS mapping within its design, whilst providing policy-based access criteria applicable to perimeter entry locations. This unique feature offers a ‘context-aware’ comprehensive perimeter solution that transcends traditional preconceptions of security as ‘just a barrier’.
