Global Information Security software company Glasswall to provide its file security solution via partnership with NTT Com Security.
Glasswall Solutions and NTT Com Security today announced they have formed a partnership to offer patented technology to eliminate the risk of targeted file-based cyber attacks.
Glasswall Solutions, a pioneer in content security, and NTT Com Security, a global information security and risk management company, will join forces to offer an alternative to traditional signature-based controls in the battle against malicious attacks. Emails remain the primary channel through which Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) are initiated, with 94 per cent* of these attacks using file attachments. With the frequency of attacks on businesses of every size increasing and the cost of incident response escalating, organisations are seeking alternatives to ensure file safety without impacting business workflow.
NTT Com Security has over 20 years of experience in the security market, and its 1,000 staff support more than 8,000 customers in Europe, the U.S. and Asia Pacific. Under the terms of this agreement, NTT Com Security can offer Glasswall’s unique technology as part of its WideAngle portfolio that provides customers with information security and risk management solutions. Glasswall’s technology ensures that electronic files entering an organisation are known to be 100 per cent good. It does this by deep analysis, at byte level, of every file entering or leaving the organisation. Then automatically applying manufacturers’ compliance standards in real-time to completely secure the files from zero-day malware.
“NTT Com Security’s information security and risk management solutions, proven security expertise and global presence are testament to our clear understanding of customers’ security needs. We are constantly seeking the best, innovative approaches and technology, such as Glasswall, to make a difference to the resilience, business continuity and confidence of our growing customer community,” commented Simon Church, CEO, NTT Com Security.
“We oppose the argument, made by some in our industry, that breach is inevitable and that organisations should focus on the speed and cost of remediation rather than well-planned, proactive defences,” said Greg Sim, CEO, Glasswall Solutions. “We are delighted that NTT Com Security, part of the biggest community of information security advisors with a wealth of business and technical expertise worldwide, has recognised the value of our solutions in supporting organisations to eliminate content risk.”
