Global crowd management expert joins SecuriGroup

SecuriGroup has announced the appointment of Mark Hamilton, a global expert in safety, security and crowd management, to its Board of Directors.

Mark has over 40 years’ experience in security, safety and crowd management, having managed security for Wimbledon, Royal Ascot, the British Formula 1 Grand Prix at Silverstone, the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Grand National, Aintree, and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In addition, Mark has held responsibility for the security and crowd management of a number of high-profile music events including T in the Park, V Festival and Live 8, and is a recipient of the Nordoff Robbins Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the live music industry.

Russel Kerr, the Managing Director of SecuriGroup, said:

“We are proud and excited by the appointment of Mark Hamilton to our Board of Directors. We believe his appointment displays our strength and dedication to delivering high-end security solutions to all major events across the country.”

“As SecuriGroup continues to grow throughout the UK, we believe Mark’s expertise will ensure that we continue to deliver bespoke security solutions to every event.”

Mark’s appointment comes during a time of great success for SecuriGroup’s Events Division following their service delivery to the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and tenure as the sole security providers to the 2014 Ryder Cup, as well as having been awarded Events Security Team of the Year at the 2015 Security Excellence Awards in London.

Mark stated:

“I am delighted to be joining a company as dynamic and progressive as SecuriGroup. Their experience and achievements, recognised by recent awards success is what attracted me to join the Board. I am very grateful for the many messages of congratulation from former colleagues and customers following the announcement.”
