Graeme Powell Marketing (GPM), the specialist security industry PR & Marketing consultancy, contested their first rally of the 2014 season on Sunday 9th February.
Consisting of 10 gravel stages located within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park forests, on the day, the Riponian Rally’s tracks where extremely wet, muddy and slippery throughout the event.
Driving an Escort MkII RS2000, Graeme Powell, GPM’s Director said: “The opening rally of the season was a real challenge, with the forest stages saturated from weeks of heavy rain. To be honest, witnessing the amount of cars with substantial bodywork damage, or who had rolled in the treacherous conditions, I was just pleased to have finished, and in one piece! A respectable final position in the ‘Over 2.0 litre’ class was a real bonus.”
