HEAT Software navigate the security threat landscape at Infosec

HEAT Software, a leading provider of IT service and endpoint security management, has outlined its programme of activities for Infosecurity Europe 2016. The company will be showcasing the latest version of its endpoint security platform which provides fast, effective and scalable protection against sophisticated malware and targeted attacks.

It will present the ‘Technology Showcase’ on Tuesday 7th June; 2016 ‘The Year of Extortion’: How to Avoid Paying the Price and run a series of educational seminars on Stand F40 advocating that organisations adopt a layered system of security defences to guard against the full range of cyber threats.

Roberto Casetta, Senior Vice President, International, at Heat Software says:

“Organisations of all sizes must now build their security plans around when, not if they will be targeted for attack. Security is a consequence of properly managing all endpoints connected to the network. We plan to outline why a pyramid of defence that incorporates vulnerability management, intelligent whitelisting and device control is essential in enabling IT and security professionals to prevent, detect and respond to basic and sophisticated attacks.”

HEAT’s infosecurity educational seminars will run throughout the conference and address some of the most pressing challenges in IT security such as Ransomware, Industry 4.0 and managing vulnerabilities found in third party applications. The sessions include:

Is it Secure? Third Party Patching
Data suggests over 75% of all endpoint vulnerabilities are found in third-party applications and that non-Windows operating systems are increasingly under attack. From data center to desktop this session provides advice on automating and scaling patch management to cover all devices, applications and operating systems. Rethink Enterprise Security for Industry 4.0
Today, 80% of manufacturing companies see Industry 4.0 – The industrial Internet of Things – as strategically important for the future of their businesses. However, key security issues must first be addressed to ensure the protection of machine and plant assets. This presentation introduces a Security by Design process to help companies to securely implement their Industry 4.0 initiatives.
