Kings Secure Technologies teams up with lone worker solutions to protect frontline staff

From February 2019, all of Kings Secure Technologies remote workers will be using the Safe Hub App from Lone Worker Solutions on their smart devices.
Statistics show workplace violence has increased over the last seven years, with over 350,000 workers exposed to threats and over 250,000 victims of assault in the workplace in 2017.
With this in mind, Kings asked their employee representatives at their Colleague Frontline Forum what more they can do to protect them at work. A growing concern was the increasing number of night works taking place, where small teams of engineers are working in large buildings throughout the night. Combined with the ongoing terror threat in the UK, Kings’ Senior Management Team decided to act.
Kings have recently partnered with Lone Worker Solutions to supply their Safe Hub product to our customers and it seemed a natural fit to supply this to their own personnel who work alone.
Safe Hub, from Lone Worker Solutions, is an award-winning locate-and-respond protection system for people who work alone or out of sight of colleagues. It offers a comprehensive package of features including emergency, buddy, reactive, proactive, broadcast and virtual barrier protection for all lone working scenarios.
Safe Hub supports the broadest possible array of devices including Android, Apple and Windows smartphones, BlackBerry, standard mobiles, PCs, intrinsically safe devices, specialist lone working safety devices and satellite phones.
The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) has approved Lone Worker Solutions for BS8484:2016 Gold, the British Standard Code of Practice for the provision of lone worker device services, under its Guarding Gold scheme.
