Lancope, Inc., a leader in network visibility and security intelligence, announces the appointment of Dan Sibille as vice president of channels. Sibille has over 20 years of experience driving channel sales and marketing for networking, security and video collaboration leaders including 3Com, Extreme Networks, Internet Security Systems, WatchGuard Technologies, LifeSize Communications and Polycom. In his new role, he will develop and lead Lancope’s worldwide channel sales and marketing strategy, global partner program and strategic relationships with a full spectrum of partners to drive partner recruitment, market awareness and revenue growth.

Throughout his career, Sibille has successfully developed, re-constructed and revitalised many channel programs, dramatically accelerating partner recruitment and pipeline growth, while consistently increasing channel-initiated revenues. He has a proven track record of implementing innovative, high-yield channel development strategies, and several of his programs have been awarded the coveted CRN 5-Star Partner Program rating.

“Lancope’s business has been significantly strengthened by our strategic alliances with Cisco, HP and others,” said Mike Potts, president and CEO of Lancope. “We have now reached a critical point in the company’s growth stage with our channel strategy becoming a more integral part of our business. Dan is a dynamic channel sales leader who has transformed partnership initiatives for some of the world’s leading global technology companies. He will help create more business leverage through our partner relationships that will drive a meaningful impact to both our top and bottom line.”

Prior to joining Lancope, Sibille served as vice president of channel sales for Altia Systems, as well as vice president of North America channels for Polycom, where he worked with close to 5,000 channel partners and bolstered strategic alliances with companies including HP, IBM and Microsoft. He was also the director of Americas channels for LifeSize, a division of Logitech.

An established leader in the network security industry, Sibille served as the senior director of Americas channels for Extreme Networks and director of channel sales & operations for North America at Internet Security Systems. He was also director of Americas sales for Internet security provider, WatchGuard Technologies, where he expanded the channel to 557 partners. He also held the role of national sales manager for 3Com, managing nationwide channel sales strategies.

“I am very excited to return to the networking and security market at such a pivotal time in cyber security,” said Sibille. “Lancope’s unique, behavioural based StealthWatch® System is already transforming network security and operations for hundreds of customers worldwide. I believe we have infinite potential for even further expansion across the globe as organizations of every type struggle to defend their networks from relentlessly evolving attack vectors.”

Sibille holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Auburn University, and has completed professional development courses at institutions including The Wharton School. For further details on Lancope’s leadership team, go to: http://www.lancope.com/company-overview/management/.
