Oltec FM launches innovative new app to the market

Security specialist, Oltec FM has launched its innovative app technology to customers across the UK.

The integrated app, yoo, has been created to enable Oltec’s employees and customers to access all Oltec’s services in one portal, providing a more effective service.

The bespoke app can be tailored to each customers’ site with corporate branding and can feature up to nine different functions, including maintenance reporting, staff management as well as GPS tracking and geotagging. The system has been specifically designed to use in environments that require a high level of customer care such as shopping centres, railway stations and museums.

The app enables individuals at sites across the UK to access local information, report incidents and flag security or cleaning issues as well as any technical faults that need immediate attention. The new system also allows for instant communications between individuals at sites, as well as the central Oltec FM helpdesk.

Ian Dunstan, IT director at Oltec FM, said:

“This is a revolutionary technology system that gives our employees and customers a more efficient and effective management of all of our services in one place. The app acts as a communications forum, an information hub, a reporting aid and an on-site tracker – everything a client needs all in one place. The system is extremely safe and secure as it doesn’t work when off site.”

The app also has a valuable HR function, allowing Oltec FM to efficiently manage a workforce of over 1,000 staff nationwide.

The system is linked up to the Oltec FM helpdesk, which enables swift delivery of reactive services, as any issues are automatically picked up at the head office and looked into.

The technology is highly secure, using GPS coordinates to ensure that the user is onsite before they are able to log in and access information.

Oltec FM, founded in 1974, provides integrated building and facilities management services across the UK. Customers include major partners in both the public and private sector, such as large retail and leisure destinations, high profile commercial buildings and sensitive industrial and manufacturing sites. A Security Industry Authority approved contractor, it is one of the most qualified security providers in the UK with a specialist training academy for security operatives.
