Reliance High-Tech to headline sponsor Lone Worker Safety Expo 2017 with Reliance Protect

Reliance High-Tech has announced that it will be headline sponsor this year’s Lone Worker Safety Expo, 28 March 2017 at London’s Olympia with the company’s lone worker safety service solution, Reliance Protect.

According to Reliance Protect, the Lone Worker Safety Expo is only event of the year dedicated around the protection of lone workers and teaches delegates how to balance duty of care with providing an effective service to the public.

Delegates will gain insight into legal obligations and the latest updates to BS 8484 lone worker standard, the business benefits, and how to minimise risks through adopting risk assessments, using training and technology, making the Expo the perfect place to gain information and advice on protection for those working alone.

The Reliance Protect team will be on hand throughout the day demonstrating exactly why the company is the UK’s largest provider of BS 8484 lone worker protection solutions that are used by over 35,000 staff. The service is currently used across hundreds of organisations, including NHS bodies, local authorities, social housing providers, charities and central government agencies as well as commercial businesses in a range of market sectors.

Commenting, Chris Allcard, Head of Lone Worker Services, Reliance High-Tech, said:

“We’re excited to be supporting this year’s Lone Worker Safety Expo, particularly as the protection of staff working out in the field, often alone, remains top of the health and safety agenda for many organisations.

“This event provides information about why it’s important to protect lone workers and how technology supported by policies and procedures can help businesses do just that in a cost-effective manner. We look forward to welcoming delegates on 28 March and discussing how Reliance Protect combines the latest accredited technology and industry-leading service levels with extensive reporting and management support.”

Reliance Protect is the UK’s most regulated lone worker protection solution available and is compliant with the UK’s most demanding safety standards, including BS8484, BS5979 Category II and ISO27001 accreditation.

BS8484 accreditation ensures the company, its devices, monitoring and alarm response capability are fit for purpose and enables alarms to be escalated directly through to regional police services, bypassing the traditional 999 route, to generate the highest police response levels where appropriate. BS5979 Category II is critical for any organisation looking to safeguard workers as it is the highest industry standard for alarm monitoring centres. In addition, ISO27001 accreditation ensures that all customer and staff data is securely managed and dealt with in complete confidence.
