Safe launches Treasured Memories campaign 2016

2016 campaign championing sentimental items launched by leading online retailer of security products

The UK’s number one supplier of safes, locks and security online, Safe.co.uk has launched a campaign to encourage the nation to keep sentimental items as safe as valuable ones. Treasured Memories kicked off in March and will run until Christmas, primarily championing ancestry to highlight the responsibility of today’s society to capture modern life for future generations.

Anthony Neary, MD of Safe said of the launch:

“In the last few years the world has gone ancestry and history mad, particularly with some of the most popular television series being set in the distant past. It’s easy to forget that this knowledge is only possible because of artefacts and records that at the time would have been considered everyday items. We’re so tech savvy these days that we rarely even print and keep pictures, so we’ve designed Treasured Memories to get people talking about the value of items beyond monetary worth.”

Activity for the PR campaign has been planned across the year, with a focus on ancestors, historic photos and documents, and family heirlooms. Following on from a successful blogger and social media launch, activity has been designed to appeal to all media platforms and audiences. Having recently appointed a full service communications agency, paid media design and creative is being planned to complement the campaign.

More information on the campaign can be found on Safe’s blog, Safe Zone.
