Samsung Techwin’s WiseNetIII DSP Chipset Wins Prestigious ‘Rewarding Innovation’ Award

WiseNetIII DSP ChipsetThe WiseNetIII DSP chipset was among the winners of nine different categories, including access control, intruder alarm, perimeter protection, infrastructure security and video surveillance solutions. The winners were announced at an award ceremony which took place on the Benchmark stand at IFSEC International on 18th June and were chosen by a judging panel which included Benchmark’s editor, Peter Conway and a cross section of UK installers and system integrators.

To win the award, WiseNetIII DSP Chipset faced stiff competition from video surveillance products supplied by many of the security industry’s leading manufacturers. “I was delighted to receive the award on behalf of Samsung Techwin design engineers who have developed a truly impressive family of 1.3MP, 2MP and 3MP cameras and domes, all of which benefit from the innovative features of the WiseNetIII DSP chipset,” said Peter Ainsworth, Head of Product and Marketing for Samsung Techwin Europe Limited.

“It is truly satisfying that the installers and system integrators on the judging panel recognised the real life benefits that the open platform capabilities of the WiseNetIII DSP chipset can deliver to users. Coincidentally, the Samsung Techwin stand at IFSEC was divided into various vertical market zones, such as retail, airports, banking and transportation, to make it easy for customers to understand how they can take advantage of the exciting and innovative WiseNetIII technology within their specific working environments.”

Samsung Techwin is committed to ‘Changing the face of IP’. Its product development strategy is based on the understanding that in the current challenging economic environment, businesses and organisations are understandably looking to achieve maximum long term benefit from their investment in video surveillance systems. End-users want to purchase a solution that is not just fit for today’s purposes, but is also future proof in terms of its expandability and its ability to integrate with new technology in the future. One of the strengths of the WiseNetIII DSP chipset is that it provides customers, now and in the future, complete freedom to choose their perfect combination of video analytics and video management software (VMS) which best matches their individual surveillance solution requirements.
