Saudi Arabia and the US sign aviation security agreement

Saudi Arabia and the US have signed an aviation security agreement, Saudi Press Agency reported Monday.

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Civil Aviation signed a MoU in the field of civil aviation security with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) of the US Department of Homeland Security last Thursday in Washington.

General Authority for Civil Aviation vice president Faisal bin Hamad Al-Sugair and TSA administrator John Pistole signed the agreement.

The signing of the MoU is based on both sides’ interest in the development of administrative, technical and operational cooperation in the field of civil aviation security and an affirmation of common interest to strengthen efforts to address threats and reduce risks in civil aviation.
