SICUREZZA 2015: Increasingly a benchmark for the sector

SICUREZZA 2015: INCREASINGLY A BENCHMARK FOR THE SECTOR.

THE KEYWORDS OF THE FORTHCOMING EDITION:

INTERNAZIONALIZATION, INTEGRATION, SOLUTIONS.
On the backdrop of an Italia market which, exceeding all expectations, has grown by 5% in the last year, the number of companies signing up for the event is showing a positive trend.

Milan, 13 May 2015 – An industrial policy tool at the service of the market and a driver of development for an expanding sector, SICUREZZA, the biennial international exhibition on Security & Fire Prevention, will be returning to the Fiera Milano fairground from 3 to 5 November 2015.

A unique international event for the sector scheduled in the second half of this year, thanks to the growing number of companies returning to exhibit and the confidence being shown by newcomers to the show, the event is demonstrating that it is in harmony with the Italian market trend, that is ever more dynamic and rife with opportunities.

The numbers speak for themselves: the provisional 2014 statements of ANIE Sicurezza (the Italian Association of security and building automation) confirm the positive trend of the last three years, with an increase in the aggregate turnover of 5% compared to the prior year. At year-end 2014, the Italian industry that supplies technologies for Building Security and Automation, which ANIE Sicurezza represents, was worth a total aggregate turnover of approximately 2 billion euro, despite the fact that the widespread policy of downpricing remained in place. The segment that expanded most was Surveillance, with an increase on an annual basis of almost 10%, but the Anti-intrusion systems and Burglar alarms segment also performed well, increasing by almost 7%, on an annual basis. The figure for the Fire Prevention segment, which increased by around 2% on an annual basis, was lower than the average for the sector.

“At SICUREZZA 2015 we shall be proposing a format that is even closer to the demands of the industry. Even now, 6 months before the exhibition opens, the number of companies signing up – and, to date, more than 60% of the exhibition space has already been allocated — suggests that the new system of holding the exhibition in odd years constitutes an important change, especially in terms of raising the event’s international profile,” declared Giuseppe Garri, Exhibition Manager of SICUREZZA. – “We shall be focusing on the representativeness of the offering, on highlighting the high degree of technological research behind the solutions available on the market today, but we shall also be focusing on the way the market is changing, with sessions on topics which appear to be of more widespread interest, such as the Internet of Things and Cyber Security. And we shall be presenting this new world to foreign buyers from the markets which are potentially the most interesting in terms of exports – from the countries around the Mediterranean, the Middle East and North Africa – thanks to a goal-oriented, optimized investment through our business matching platform, the EMP (Expo Matching Programme). Our aim is to establish a close rapport with all the companies involved, so that they become partners, working hand in hand with the Italian associations that represent the manufacturers, ANIE Sicurezza and ASSOSICUREZZA. With their help, we are developing a project through which we hope to become a pool of reference for all the markets in Southern Europe.”

Since exports remain a key business segment for the whole sector – and the ANIE Sicurezza figures confirm this – 150 top buyers will be invited to come to Milan, all of whom have extremely high profiles and come from the geographical areas which most interest us: that is, 50% more than at the previous edition.

Products but also integrated solutions, sharing strategies in order to exploit the expansion opportunities for the sector to the full, technical updates but also practical training sessions. In other words, everything that the security sector has access to for expanding business in the future. We invite all the trade professionals from the sector to SICUREZZA 2015, from 3 to 5 November 2015 at the Fiera Milano fairground.
