The closure of CCTV Image magazine: we explain our position

As part of the company’s ongoing rebranding and restructuring following our merger with The Security Catalogue in December 2013, the launch of SecurityMiddleEast.com and our new branding in April 2014, Security Media Publishing has made the decision to no longer publish CCTV Image Magazine for the CCTV User Group.

The Autumn 2013 issue of CCTV Image, the official publication of the CCTV User Group, is out now. CCTV Image 53 showcases a new logo and a revamped look for the magazine.

CCTV Image – issue no. 50 – winter 2013

The draft code of practice for CCTV systems has been issued by the Surveillance Camera Commissioner, Andrew Rennison. We have details on the consultation around the code as well as an interview with the Commissioner who talks candidly about the need to balance security and privacy.

We also continue our series of features, Rooms with a View, which take an inside look at CCTV systems and control rooms around the UK and, in this issue, overseas too.

We also look ahead to the coming year, asking what issues will preoccupy our conversations and debates this year. And we have a star interview – the former White House security chief John Gill talking about VIP protection, CCTV and PSIM.
