Videcon enters Perimeter Security Market

Videcon enters Perimeter Security Market

In partnership with perimeter security manufacturer, Geoquip Worldwide, the trade-only security distributor is stocking two perimeter detection kits to supplement its CCTV and intruder alarm product lines.

For external perimeter protection, “GeoZone” is designed to alert users when someone is trying to climb or cut through a fence to gain illegal access to premises.

Internally, “Impactor” is for use in warehouses, vaults and similar goods storage facilities that detects attempts of hammering, chiselling or ram-raiding of walls.

Videcon will stock kits for either product line containing cabling and signalling equipment with the ability to quote on larger systems as and when required.

Geoquip technology utilises a vibration sensitive cable that is fitted on internal walls or exterior fencing. Penetration attacks such as hammering, drilling, cutting, climbing or sawing creates an alarm output that can feed into an intruder alarm, integrate with CCTV systems to drive cameras to pre-set positions, or feed directly to Monitoring Stations.

Mike Reddington, Managing Director of Videcon, said:

“The Geoquip perimeter security products are a perfect compliment to Videcon’s core CCTV market, opening up new revenue streams for our existing customer base and shows our commitment to extending our product portfolio as an established security distributor.”

Geoquip have over thirty years’ experience in the design, development and manufacture of Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems based in Derby, UK.
