Europa has further demonstrated a commitment to being recognised as a first class provider of professional security services after becoming a member of the International Professional Security Association (IPSA).
A presentation ceremony confirmed Europa’s membership to the organisation, whose aim is to enhance the professionalism of the security industry whilst improving the status of members through the provision of opportunities for training and the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experience.
Founded in 1958, IPSA is one of the longest serving associations in the security industry and as a result of becoming a member, Europa will be recognised as a first choice provider of professional security services within an integrated service market.
Justin Bentley, Chief Executive Officer International Professional Security Association, said: “As a facilities management company Europa demonstrates a commitment to the security industry that equals that of any stand-alone provider, while the combination of a package of services and quality of delivery provided is comparable and can exceed that of companies offering stand-alone services.”
Ian Pugh, Europa Head of Security, said: “We are delighted to become a member of IPSA and in the process help ensure that Europa is at the forefront of the review of regulation of the security industry whilst being in a position to work with industry bodies to raise standards across the industry as a whole.”
Europa is a privately owned, leading property and infrastructure support services business, operating right across the UK, employing over 3,000 staff with a turnover approaching £140m.
