TDSi unveil latest ‘highly desirable’ stand alone access control keypad

Integrated security solutions manufacturer TDSi has launched a new stand-alone access control keypad, which can be set up through a single reader and forms a cost-effective security solution.

With the flexibility of access approval through both cards (up to 5cm away) and keypad codes, the unit has the capacity for up to 1000 passwords and card holders, making it versatile enough for most stand alone applications.

TDSi’s Managing Director, John Davies, commented: “Whilst integrated security is becoming increasingly important, there are still many applications where a simple to install and use system is highly desirable. The new TDSi stand alone keypads offer excellent, robust and secure solutions that can be mounted virtually anywhere, inside or outside, and offer a highly cost-effective access control solution for all levels.”

TDSI’s stand alone readers feature single mounting of both the reader and ACU in one unit, reducing installation time and cabling costs. Vandal resistant and tamper proof, both products feature IP65 rated housing (with a temperature tolerance from -20ºC to +50ºC) allowing for use in virtually any environment or situation.

Furthermore, the backlit keypad enables the reader to be used during the day or night, offering further flexibility for potential applications for this highly versatile reader/controller. The reader is available in both mullion and square varieties, to best suit the application site for single door installations.

Other features include a built-in anti-tamper function, watchdog timer, power reset, self-recovery function, connectivity to an external unlock button and open door button, dual relay outputs and full compatibility with TDSi’s proximity cards and fobs.
