Mul-T-Lock launches new eCLIQ for large retailers

Mul-T-Lock has launched its new eCLIQ access control system for larger retailers, allowing organisations to remotely manage access permissions at the click of a button.

The new technology allows organisations to grant and remove access permissions remotely, including the ability to schedule individual access permissions for each key and provide time-limited access.

Mul-T-Lock’s eCLIQ system is useful for retailers that often suffer from high staff turnover, as businesses can revoke access permissions when a member of staff leaves, ensuring continued security.

This also reduces whole life costing, eliminating the need for replacing locks if a key is lost, which can often be quite expensive – eCLIQ allows retailers maximum control over their security as well as ongoing maintenance costs.

The technology is an ideal solution for a variety of applications, such as a 24-hour supermarket where members of staff are coming and going at various times of the day, and for granting time-limited access to contractors and delivery drivers.

eCLIQ is a completely electronic locking system based on the mechanical precision and microelectronic modules of ASSA ABLOY’s CLIQ technology – the electronic contact between keys and cylinders transmits power and data securely, with AES encryption.

The available cylinders are also suitable for a number of different applications, from office doors and cold storage areas to external gates and even potentially explosive areas. There is also a varied range of compatible padlocks available, designed for all weather conditions.

Mul-T-Lock’s eCLIQ technology offers automation and integration – it collects important information and allows for traceability, enhancing security for retailers and offering operational efficiencies.
