Securi-Guard Fire and Security has been awarded a major contract from Plymouth City Council. The council has placed all its fire and security requirements for more than 100 properties and schools in the hands of the Plymouth-based company under a two-year agreement, which could be extended by a further two years.

Under the terms of the Building Maintenance, Repair and Refurbishment Framework, Securi-Guard is now responsible for the supply, monitoring and maintenance of all systems, which also includes 2,500 portable fire extinguishers – a recent addition to the company’s services.

The contract also encompass fire systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and emergency lighting at council buildings and those schools in the city that have signed up to the council’s framework agreement.

Securi-Guard has a long association with Plymouth City Council in the provision of fire and security services.

Mark Bostick, Securi-Guard’s Sales Manager for Fire and Security Systems, said the award was testament to the company’s reputation across the region for delivering large-scale fire and security services.

“As the region’s largest independent supplier of fire and security solutions, increasing numbers of larger businesses and organisations are seeing the benefits of using a tried and trusted company with considerable expertise and access to the very latest technology,” said Bostick.

“We look forward to successfully delivering a high quality and cost effective service across all its fire and security needs.”
