Senstar has seen two of its perimeter intrusion detection technologies given Government approval in both the UK and US following testing.

The firm has the world’s largest portfolio of perimeter intrusion detection sensor technologies and has protected thousands of sites in more than 80 countries for close to 30 years.

Senstar has seen its Intelli-Flex fence-mounted perimeter intrusion detection sensor given the Centre for Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) grading in the UK and included in the Catalogue of Security Equipment (CSE).

The CPNI provides protective security advice to businesses and organisations with the aim of reducing the vulnerability of the UK infrastructure to terrorism and other threats.

Previously given approval under the former name SEAP – which was replaced by the CPNI trademark on April 1 2012 – Intelli-Flex has had its approval reaffirmed under the new trademark and the technology is now sanctioned for UK government use.

The Intelli-Flex technology serves a range of markets and is a micro-phonic cable intrusion detection sensor for outdoor perimeter security applications to detect intruders cutting through, climbing on or lifting the fence material.

Senstar has also announced its OmniTrax covert buried cable intrusion detection sensor has successfully passed both warm weather and cold weather testing by the US Air Force.

OmniTrax is a fifth generation outdoor intrusion detection sensor that generates an invisible field around buried sensor cables and signals an alarm if the field is disturbed.

Mark Novak, Managing Director of Senstar, said: “Senstar has a major focus on research and development, bringing new products to market regularly.

“This approval shows that the quality and effectiveness of Senstar’s products continue to meet the demands of the evolving security landscape.”
