INTERPOL World 2015 gears up for international debut

Offering a unique opportunity for international world leaders, policy makers and industry captains to discuss and chart new directions in the global security industries, INTERPOL World 2015, to be held from 14 to 16 April, is expecting to host over 250 international industry players from 35 countries and approximately 8,000 commercial buyers, police, law enforcement and government officials.

Participants from countries such as Austria, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States of America, will gather at the inaugural INTERPOL World 2015 to share latest innovations in the following four domains: Cybersecurity, Safe Cities, Border Management and Supply Chain Security.

“With the evolution of global security threats, it is now more important than ever for the world’s security ecosystem to combine resources to address these rising challenges and share best practices,” stated Mr. Thomas Herko, Assistant Director, International Partnerships & Development, INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation. “INTERPOL World 2015 provides the ideal international platform for governments, policy makers and industry captains to come together to discuss global challenges and possible solutions.”

Owned by INTERPOL, the world’s largest international police organization, and supported by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore, INTERPOL World 2015 will showcase a vast range of cutting-edge technologies such as cybersecurity, public safety, surveillance, intelligence, forensics and investigations, counter-terrorism, anti-counterfeiting. The tradeshow and various networking sessions allow public sectors an opportunity to network and work more closely with private sectors to design solutions to meet current and future challenges.

INTERPOL World Congress, a knowledge sharing platform, will facilitate the exchange of challenges, solutions and best practices. Industry experts, INTERPOL and INTERPOL World 2015 Strategic Partners will congregate and discuss global security threats and present co-created solutions across the four key domains.

Uniquely designed to take visitors on a complete innovative technological revolution journey across the four domains, INTERPOL World Theatres will allow solutions providers and experts to address global security challenges through exclusive case studies and product demonstrations.

INTERPOL will also be hosting two major events alongside INTERPOL World 2015. The INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI), a cutting-edge research and development facility for the identification of crimes and criminals, innovative training, operational support and partnerships, will officially open on 13 April 2015. Located in Singapore, the IGCI complements INTERPOL’s General Secretariat in Lyon, France, and enhances the Organization’s presence in Asia.

The 22nd INTERPOL Asian Regional Conference, scheduled for 15–17 April 2015, is a meeting where policy and strategy matters concerning improvement of police co-operation between the Asian member countries and the crime situation are discussed on the basis of preparatory work carried out by officials of the Sub-Directorate for Asia and South Pacific, with assistance from the Sub-Directorate for Middle East and North Africa in the General Secretariat, and on the contributions from delegations.
