Synectics launches new suite of HD IP camera solutions

Global surveillance business, Synectics has launched a range of high performance HD IP camera solutions to suit a wide variety of application needs and sectors.

Models include compact vandal resistant domes (VRDs), in-ceiling domes (ICDs), box cameras, bullet cameras and a selection of new PTZ cameras with improved True WDR.

All cameras in the line-up deliver a minimum HDTV 1080p/2MP quality with full frame rate of 50/60 fps and feature the latest Sony sensor technology for improved low-light and daylight performance – ideal for capturing movement detail.

Motorised autofocus lenses, complementing the advanced sensor technology, also ensure image clarity is maximised for each camera.

David Aindow, Product and Technology Director from Synectics said:

“We’ve thought about a wide range of scenarios, sectors and customer needs to develop these new HD IP cameras.

“The compact VRD and ICDs, for example, are powerful but discreet, making them ideal for environments where aesthetics are important such as casinos, leisure and retail spaces, or security environments where discretion is paramount. With our unique backfilling solution as standard across these, full data integrity is guaranteed even if a network fails.”

“Our new bullet cameras, on the other hand, offer weatherproof, vandal resistant performance with built-in IR LED technology to ensure they can perform and provide video in conditions that are unseen to the human eye. With additional features such as integral heaters and low power consumption, these solutions are ideally suited to external deployment on projects of scale – potentially in remote locations where lighting is limited.”

Synectics’ new PTZ range, with enhanced True Wide Dynamic Range and Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) to eliminate vibration impact, are also set to prove popular for both external and internal deployment in areas where wind or machinery vibration usually hinder image capture.

The suite of new HD IP cameras also features a box camera with a 1/1.9” Sony sensor – designed to accommodate specialty lenses that may be needed for a very specific or unusual angle of view – and a 12MP fisheye with in-built edge de-warping and a multi-view capability that enables users to record or view a whole scene in fish-eye mode while also viewing up to four specific areas in quad view.

Aindow concluded:

“Working with such diverse markets, including transport, infrastructure, gaming, public space and oil and gas, gives us an incredible depth of knowledge in terms of how and why cameras are used in different settings. These new HD IP cameras reflect that experience and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to product development and innovation.”
