Paxton introduce new and improved user interface to its Paxton10 system

Always listening to customer feedback to improve its products and systems, Paxton, the market leader of electronic IP access control and door entry equipment, has introduced some improvements to the user experience as part of its latest software release for its integrated building intelligence system.

The software update includes a new user interface and some new features to improve the navigation, making it simple and more intuitive for our installers and their customers. This increased functionality also coincides with a rebrand of the system from net10 to Paxton10.

First launched in the UK in early 2016 in response to the evolving landscape within the security industry, Paxton10 came onto the market under the name net10. However, with the company’s increased presence, earning it global recognition, a rebrand to Paxton10 ensures the system is easily recognisable as a Paxton product in every market.

Paxton10 is a fully integrated building intelligence system providing security, convenience and energy efficiency. It delivers out of the box access control, IP video management and building automation. It interfaces with existing building infrastructure to control lighting, heating, air conditioning, intruder and fire alarms.

Paxton10 works in conjunction with a wide range of IP cameras in order to facilitate live viewing and the recording of video footage. The system is managed using a highly intuitive web-interface.

The new features included in this software update include:

• System health information – offline devices can be identified on the homepage
• System activity – access events can previewed over the last week in a simple table
• Access levels – give users more than one access level and add software and building permissions to a user’s record

In conjunction to the software release and rebrand we have designed new environmentally sustainable packaging, updated and rebranded literature, iOS and Android apps and the Paxton10 website. Users will notice that once the software update is complete the net10 URL will auto replace to Paxton10 thereafter and the net10 URL will no longer be valid.

Gareth O’Hara, Paxton’s Sales and Marketing Director, says:

“We are pleased to be able to offer our customers an improved user experience with this new software update. However, we also want both new and existing customers to recognise our single platform, integrated solution as a Paxton product, the benefits this brings and we felt the best way to achieve this was by re-branding to Paxton10.

2017 is set to be a big year of development for Paxton10 with many incremental features set to be released, ensuring the system offers cutting edge technology to futureproof our customers businesses and the sites where it is installed.”

The system offers enterprise level features designed for for the mid-market, and is suitable for small to mid-size projects, including offices, hospitals and education facilities, ranging from primary schools to large university campuses.
