Carlo Purassanta, the General Manager of Microsoft Italy, has been confirmed as the opening keynote speaker at ASIS Europe 2017, taking place in Milan, Italy on 29-31 March.
Purassanta (pictured right) will leverage his deep knowledge of rapidly evolving digital businesses to help delegates understand the current and near future needs of businesses, consumers, shareholders and communities – setting the parameters within which security professionals need to operate.
This opening session will provide the ideal context for the Security Leaders Panel Debate on “Protecting Borderless Business” which follows. Representatives from key business sectors will outline the risks and challenges that the near future will pose to security practitioners; spanning high and low tech, cyber-physical factors, business, and personal concerns.
Confirmed panellists are Jaya Baloo, CISO, KPN, Werner Cooreman, CPP, PSP, Sr Vice President, Group Security Director, Solvay and Edmond d’Arvieu CPP, VP Corporate Security, Sanofi. The session will be chaired by Prof. Martin Gill.
The event will then continue with Masterclasses and Executive Sessions on specific topics ranging from the risk to business post-Brexit, dissecting an actual IoT botnet attack, online radicalisation and single cell terrorism. Training workshops will include a talk on the fundamentals of cyber physical security and investigating fraud and bribery in complex and connected enterprises. The first ASIS Europe Career Centre and a Technology & Solutions Track will take place alongside the exhibition.
Early discounted rates are available until 2 February.
