Tyco Security with C•CURE 9000 wins New Ludgate access control security contract
Tyco Security Products has won a contract with London-based multi-use development New Ludgate, to provide its C•CURE 9000 Enterprise security and event management solution as the core platform for Ludgate’s new IP-based, integrated video, video intercom and access control security solution, it has been announced.
According to Tyco, the C•CURE 9000 security and event management solution unites several of New Ludgate’s building systems together with physical security, providing the single, comprehensive security view necessary for managing and securing more than 355,000 square feet of office accommodation and 26,800 square feet of restaurant and retail facilities.
With help from systems integrators and architects Universal Security Systems, owner group Land Securities chose Software House’s C•CURE 9000 security and event management platform for New Ludgate because of its ability to manage multiple security and building management systems from a single, intuitive user interface. The C•CURE 9000 solution gives New Ludgate’s security operators the ability to monitor events in real time, manage personnel, create reports, display dynamic views, and monitor system activity using a desktop computer, web client or the C•CURE Go mobile app.
Land Securities Engineering Director, Lee Pegram commented:
“New Ludgate required a near seamless integration between the buildings’ lifts systems, video intercom, access control and video surveillance system, and the new solution also needed to run on the buildings common network without impacting other network communications. The C•CURE 9000 security and event management platform ticks off all the items on our wish list, giving us the united, tightly integrated video, access control and building management capabilities we were searching for.”
The C•CURE 9000 security and event management solution used by New Ludgate includes a visitor management web portal option so that visitor management functions may be added in the future, along with conditional access and dynamic area management capabilities for areas needing supervised entry and occupancy. The security system also was constructed on a virtual local area network, making the system scalable for accommodating future expansion as well.
