ASSA ABLOY UK division Adams Rite unveils ARC51N Concealed Transom Door Closer Range

A section of ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions’ UK Division, Adams Rite, has successfully found a way to slash its delivery times using the ARC51N Concealed Transom Door Closer Range, while also keeping to the top levels of performance and quality that the brand strive to achieve.

Adams Rite are confident that door manufacturers will specify the ARC51N while having the utmost confidence that it will faithfully perform in all typical market applications. The ARC51N range has been fully tested to EN1154, and has managed to help a variety of commercial doorsets achieve PAS24 and 3N6375, which demonstrates its security and durability, while also proving itself to offer a long service.

Having been put through several mechanical load tests, as well as being tasked with dealing with hard and soft body impact and being manually assaulted with a variety of tools, the ARC51N – which comes with a heavy-duty pivot as standard – has held firm and is proving itself as a valuable option for OEM door manufacturers who have plans to install security doors in places that could be in risk of attack.

It goes without saying that safety is a massive priority when it comes to designing or installing door systems, and as a result, the ARC51N has been equipped for use with all anti-finger sections, which makes sure that accidents with stray hands are prevented. As well as this, a standard footprint – which ensures a rapid installation across a wide variety of commercial aluminium door systems – can be specified with 18, 22 or 26mm spindles.

Seeing as the wider range of different ARC51N configurations increases with the development of new commercial aluminium systems in the UK, Adams Rite has successfully managed to make a major change in regards to how it stocks these door closers.

Rather than hold an inflexible range of complete units, the organisation has brought in a ‘made-to-order’ process – which means that as a result of stocking a high level of ARC51N components, Adams Rite has new flexibility to build most variants to order, reducing the shipping lead time to a target of two days.

Speaking on the improvements to service and lead-times, Tim Almond, OEM Commercial Manager for ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, said: “The ARC51N is a great example of how we work continually to improve both our products and our service. We value the close-working relationships we have with our customers and our updated service offering will improve efficiency and product availability.”
