Megapixel Camera range storms into the market backed by dedicated sales team

AMG-Panogenics, the British manufacturer of sophisticated 5 Megapixel cameras, announces that they have appointed a dedicated sales team to support the increasing demand for the PanoCam360 product range. Two new positions has been established where Farel-Marie (Faz) Colbhie has been appointed Business Development Manager UK and Ireland, Christine Warwick has been appointed Business Development Manager International with particular focus on Europe, North Africa and South America.

Sara Bullock, International Sales and Marketing Director of AMG-Panogenics explains the background for the creation of the new team, “The successful introduction of the PanoCam360 range – launched at Intersec 2012 in Dubai in January – has been very evident over the past few months”, she says. “We have entered a large number of technology partnerships, and more are in the pipeline. This in turn has massively increased the number of projects where complete situational awareness from a single camera is applicable. Having a dedicated, competent team working with the further development of the market opportunities, will enable us to position the product range firmly in the market both in the UK and overseas, whilst continuing to offer the acclaimed AMG technical support and training to all our business partners.”

Faz Colbhie joined AMG in June this year and is responsible for the UK and Irish markets. She brings a wealth of experience from several previous positions where she has worked with ‘Big Picture’ Business Strategy and Business Development. She says, “I’m incredibly excited to be returning to the industry and working with a great team at AMG; the company has built a solid reputation for their UK manufactured CCTV transmission products over many years.  It’s a fabulous opportunity to take AMG-Panogenics’ PanoCam360 IP camera and make an impact upon the Security market; the 360° concept is still relatively new and our camera has some advanced technology which is invaluable within both public and private sector projects.  It provides a new and welcome dimension over and above what standard CCTV deployment can achieve. In terms of health & safety, loss prevention and security of personnel and the wider public, we believe that the PanoCam360 is the difference that will make the difference!”

Christine Warwick joined the company in June as Business Development Manager for Europe, North Africa and South America. Christine is of French origin and has lived in the UK for many years where she has also taken an MBA in Business Development. She speaks several European languages fluently (French, Italian, Spanish, English) and is a very important addition to the AMG-Panogenics team, as the company continue the export efforts and penetration into key markets with the camera range. Christine comments, “AMG has a very well developed market strategy. The PanoCam360 is not only best-of-breed, it is also entirely developed and manufactured in the UK, something which – in its own right – makes the product range stand out in the market place.  The interest for integration with third party VMS and NVR solutions is very high and already covers technology partnerships in markets which open new business opportunities for the company. As we continue to build on new and existing relationships I fully expect us to find an increasing number of reference projects for this exciting technology.”

Since the products were launched in January, AMG-Panogenics have  pro-actively been introducing and selling PanoCam360 to existing and new customers.  The AMG-Panogenics camera is a good choice for many different industry segments such as Retail where the company has already noted significant interest, and have several projects in trial.  Combined with the right analytical software one single 360 degree camera mounted in the ceiling can cover the entire store floor and thus reduce the number of cameras required. Applications in schools and other educational institutions, where a single camera mounted in a hallway junction can cover the hallways leading off in other directions, as well as discreet surveillance for applications in care homes and hospitals are also currently under evaluation. AMG-Panogenics is currently trialling an airport application in a major International airport. The camera has recently been fitted as a very discreet security surveillance solution in ‘The Cube’ by Electrolux were Honeywell has installed PanoCam360, integrated with Wavestore software, in the Michelin Star Restaurant on top of the Royal Festival Hall at Southbank Centre in London.  Generally, the PanoCam360 is suitable for applications which include areas with busy scenes which needs monitoring in great detail, such as help points in transport applications, access control points in restricted zones,  prison corridors and custody charge desks as well as other areas which are expected to require extensive post event analysis.

PanoCam360 is shortlisted for Security Excellence Awards 2012 in the Innovation of the Year category.  For more information about the camera or to book a demonstration of PanoCam360 integration with VMS software please contact sales@amgsystems.com
