Takex at IFSEC 2019
Whilst at IFSEC, we spoke to Takex, the leading manufacturer of security and industrial sensors, specialising in active infrared beams for perimeter protection, and outdoor PIR for CCTV activation and intruder detection. Products that Takex were showcasing included their MS-12 Dual-Zone system, which reduces false alarms for reliable outdoor detection, and their new Pr-30BE near infrared beam interruption system, which uses Time of Flight technology to determine detecting distance with unprecedented accuracy by measuring both light reception level and timing.

VIVOTEK to Showcase Deep Learning Based People Detection Solution at IFSEC 2019
VIVOTEK, a global leading IP surveillance provider, will be showcasing its latest comprehensive surveillance solutions at IFSEC 2019, taking place from 18-20 June at ExCel London. Based on its self-developed Deep Learning based People Detection technology, VIVOTEK has improved security with proactive detection and now focuses this technology on commercial opportunities. With accurate People Detection technology, only the activities of persons will trigger an event. It thus significantly reduces false alarms as well as enhances operational efficiency by making use of data insight reports. Wide Coverage 180-Degree Solution and Cybersecurity Protection: VIVOTEK will demonstrate a series of 180-degree solutions offering panoramic supreme views for different applications. The 180-degree solution considerably reduces the total number of cameras required, and ultimately saves both cost and time spent on installation. In addition, VIVOTEK will introduce the latest end-to-end Cybersecurity Management Solution and display how it responds to a live cyber-attack targeted on network cameras at its booth. New License Plate Recognition Solution: As the demand for License Plate Recognition (LPR) rises, VIVOTEK continues to develop more advanced solutions to meet user requests. In IFSEC 2019, VIVOTEK will reveal the latest H.265 bullet license plate recognition camera, the IB9387-LPR. Featuring edge-computing technology, the brand new IB9387-LPR is embedded with license plate recognition software capability and is able to identify license plates on a black list or white list. It allows users to receive real-time recognition without delay and effectively reduces loading of the backend server. All of these features are making this camera an ideal product for parking access control and STOP & GO toll applications. Five new products from Castel at IFSEC International 2019
Castel has been working with many technology partners over the past year – such as CCure, Victor, Milestone, Genetec, Wavestore and FLIR – to provide seamless and integrated solutions across a wide range of third-party products and systems. This has led to a series of new products being developed and launched at IFSEC International 2019 in London (stand IF2526, next to ‘The Park’). A new intercom with integrated Bluetooth reader, an award-winning emergency notification system and new refuge call points will be among an array of solutions from Castel on show at this year’s IFSEC International. Castel’s new intercom has a built-in Bluetooth reader providing a secure way of gaining access, and it’s available on the new generation of Xellip full IP/SIP audio video intercoms. The user-friendly design allows you to open doors from a distance and manage the credentials of users more efficiently – all from a smartphone or tablet. The Smart Tamat emergency notification server acts as the nerve centre of an alarm notification, mass notification, nurse call or lone worker monitoring system. It delivers immediate and relevant notifications to security personnel and first responders, providing two-way communication and helping to generate co-ordinated responses to emergencies. The new vandal-resistant, stainless steel intercom for refuge areas features two-way communications, an illuminated call button, three LEDs to help comply with disability legislation and an integrated induction loop. Castel’s custodial stainless-steel master station features an anti-ligature design (it can be re-cessed into the wall), anti-tamper components and is vandal-resistant. It also integrates with surveillance cameras around a building and features an additional display for video verification. Finally, a new two-way video intercom features an outdoor display for extra clarity even in bright daylight, enabling the use of sign language and helping to comply with disability legislation. Maxxess to Demonstrate eFusion Integrations with Advanced Video at IFSEC
On show with Maxxess (IFSEC stand IF2120), Sony’s flagship ultra-low light SNC-VB770 camera, plus Cathexis VMS and leading site management technologies. Maxxess will be highlighting a host of new surveillance integrations at IFSEC International, (London ExCel 18-20 June, stand IF2120), showing how eFusion makes it easier than ever to link security, fire, safety, building and business systems together under a powerful, unified management umbrella. Among breakthrough solutions on the stand will be the Sony SNC-VB770 full colour ultra-low light camera, that will for the first time be demonstrated in a third-party housing as part of a PTZ solution, and industry-leading video technologies such as the latest video management solutions (VMS) from Cathexis. Maxxess eFusion makes it easy to deploy these advances and integrate with more than 60 security and fire systems as well as business management solutions from leading vendors. The SNC-VB770 camera configuration will be demonstrated – for the first time – with the Ulisse rugged PTZ housing from Videotec. The camera captures 4K/30 fps colour video in almost pitch-black 0.004lx conditions, when it is a challenge for the human eye to see. It achieves this thanks to its highly sensitive, 35 mm full-frame Exmor CMOS sensor, optimised e-mount lenses, and signal processing engine. Combined with a pan-and-tilt housing – and easy to integrate via Maxxess eFusion – it becomes one of the most powerful PTZ tools on the market. The rugged PTZ configuration to be demonstrated on the Maxxess stand operates in near complete darkness even in harsh environments. Demonstrated alongside this on the Maxxess stand, Cathexis’s VMS solutions are enabling advanced video surveillance operations for banks, hotels, retailers, government and other blue-chip users internationally and have been integrated with eFusion on a number of major projects over the last few months in the Middle East and Europe. These deployments include the prestigious Bluewaters Island development in Dubai, the Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) and the Taj Exotica Resort & Spa on Palm Jumeirah. Other integrations with eFusion on show include a full line-up of Third Millennium access control readers and the latest, robust servers from Stratus that are perfect for mission critical environments.
