Assa Abloy supplies doors to a Injection Moulding Facility

ASSA ABLOY Security Doors, a UK division of ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions has recently worked with Enbloc Ltd to supply over 50 steel doorsets to Sovrin Plastics new manufacturing facility.

Purpose built for injection moulding, the new Slough based facility consists of offices, storage areas, a class ‘D’ cleanroom and a white assembly area. Sovrin Plastics provides services for the supply of precision plastic components and assemblies to the medical, electronics and engineering industries.

ASSA ABLOY Security Doors specified doorsets that would contribute significantly towards hygiene, as well as providing important security and access features. Powershield cleanroom steel doorsets were supplied to reduce the development of surface bacteria, helping to ensure that products are kept clean.

The doorsets provided had adjustable ‘wrap around’ frames, sealing openings to prevent the collection of dirt, whilst offering the sleek and pleasing aesthetics associated with ASSA ABLOY Security Doors’ systems.

Nick Pither, Project Co-Ordinator at Enbloc Ltd, said:

“We chose ASSA ABLOY Security Doors to supply the internal steel doors at the Sovrin Plastics facility, as we knew the company had worked successfully on a number of past projects. ASSA ABLOY Security Doors were able to provide a full range of different types of doors to suit the different environments, including a 3m wide by 3m high double door, specifically made for machine access.

“It is Enbloc’s mission to provide exceptional facilities for high tech industries; therefore, it was essential that we worked with a doorset manufacturer, who not only provided an excellent product, but also good customer service.”

ASSA ABLOY cleanroom doors provide superior quality to meet the stringent requirements of cleanrooms, in accordance with ISO14644 cGMP and are fire certified for up to 60 minutes.
Doors were finished with a factory applied PPC finish providing a durable hardwearing surface and ASSA ABLOY group hardware was used on all the doorsets.

Chris Cole, Area Sales Manager at ASSA ABLOY Security Doors, said:

“Specifying the right door can be essential in providing protection against the build-up and transfer of dirt and contaminants.

“We installed Powershield steel cleanroom doors to the injection moulding facility, as the seamless finish will ensure that the doors can be easily cleaned, and provide a strong, durable finish which is important in a manufacturing environment.”
