C5 Capital (www.c5capital.com), today announced the appointment of Simon Church as Executive in Residence, with effect as of 1st September 2015.
Mr Church, previously appointed to C5’s Technology Council to provide strategic and operational advice, recently decided to leave his role as Chief Executive Officer at NTT Com Security after three years, to join C5.
On the announcement of his appointment, Mr Church said, “I am delighted to announce my appointment as Executive in Residence at C5 Capital. C5 launched last year with the objective of exclusively focusing on the fast growth data and security sector and is the only fund of its nature in Europe. I look forward to working with C5’s partners and identifying other European businesses in this sector with the potential and ambition to take advantage of a strong growing market.”

C5 Capital recently announced the appointment of other experienced technology executives as advisors to its Technology Council, including Dr. John Bates (Chief Marketing Officer of TecDax Listed Software AG) and Per Roman (co-founder and managing partner of GP Bullhound LLP). They will join a roster of IT industry and government advisors at C5, including Admiral Mike Mullen (17th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Presidents Obama and Bush, and currently serving on the boards of General Motors, InQTel and Sprint) and Vincent Mai (CEO of Cranemere).
