Canon partners with Nedap to provide an integrated security platform across its full network camera range

Canon_Logo_350_tcm14-959888Global leader in imaging solutions, Canon Europe has been selected and accredited as a hardware security partner by Nedap, an innovative developer of intelligent security solutions. The new partnership makes Canon’s entire range of network cameras available to Nedap’s customers through compatibility with its AEOS security management software and provides a powerful video management package to system integrators and end-users.

The accreditation will bring a number of benefits to system integrators and customers by extending Canon’s already market-leading set of in-built analytics, and is compatible with Canon’s entire range of network cameras. This includes its latest range of Full HD, Ultra Compact S-Series cameras. Nedap’s AEOS solution will build on this by providing functionalities for access control, intrusion detection, video management and locker management in one fully integrated platform.

Existing Nedap customers already using its AEOS solution for video management can now upgrade to any of Canon’s high-quality portfolio. The integrated platform will also support future additions to Canon’s network camera range, meaning that customers will always have access to a solution that is compatible with the most advanced level of analytics.

“There is a lot of change within security management, which is why we look to produce an agile solution that can adapt with our customer’s needs,” says Albert Dercksen, head of research and development, Nedap Security Management. “Our software supports Canon’s cameras perfectly, and joint customers will benefit from an easier to use platform that displays a high quality range of analytics and advanced solutions.”

Nedap“We are constantly looking for ways to improve our customers experience with our network camera range,” says Julian Rutland, Product Strategy and Planning Director, Network Security Cameras.  “Nedap’s AEOS is compatible with our existing security equipment. This includes our popular M and H series as well as new additions, which is great news for our customers who want to future proof their security solution. This means that customers are reassured that their security is always fully optimised and of the highest quality.”

Canon uses its 70 years’ experience as a high quality lens manufacturer to develop network cameras which deliver exceptional image quality and capture best in class images in all light conditions. Canon’s range of network security cameras are simple to install and are supported by an extensive 3 year Swap Warranty program.
