CriticalArc headline HEBCoN Annual Conference

The sponsorship signals the continued growth in demand for cloud-based emergency response solution, SafeZone, in the higher education sector

CriticalArc announces its exclusive sponsorship of this year’s HEBCoN Conference from the 9th to 10th March at Loughborough University. The annual event sees HEBCoN members come together from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the UK and Ireland who are committed to sharing and promoting good practice in Business Continuity Management (BCM), risk management and emergency planning.

Speaking ahead of the conference, HEBCoN Deputy Chair and Head of Security at City University
London, Richard Mansfield, said:

“We are delighted to have CriticalArc on-board as sponsors following the huge success of the first conference in 2014. CriticalArc’s offering, SafeZone, a holistic solution for managing critical incidents, workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance and personal emergencies in real-time, has been adopted by a number of HEBCon member institutions.

“It’s therefore particularly relevant to our audience at the HEBCon conference as delegates will see firsthand how technology that combines the latest mobile and location intelligence can support their business continuity and emergency plans and policies, while minimizing risk.”

Darren Chalmers-Stevens, CriticalArc EMEA Director, added:

“We’re excited to be part of the HEBCoN event again, which provides a perfect platform to showcase our SafeZone solution. Since the first HEBCoN conference, institutes across the world have adopted SafeZone to support their emergency management and business continuity policies. University of York, Northumbria University, Bucks New University and Newcastle University are just some of the organisations now utilising SafeZone to create a safer learning and research environment, protect their reputations in the event of an incident, while realising a host of other advantages all without capital investment.”

Delegates attending this year’s HEBCoN conference will gain new understanding of current good practice in BCM. The event will feature presentations from the country’s leading risk management and BCM experts and workshops will provide insight into incidents and recovery experiences of HEIs with lessons learned.

The two-day event also offers attendees understanding of new techniques around engaging with and influencing senior managers and wider stakeholders. For more information and to enrol, please go to .
