Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Women’s Committee organised a number of awareness lectures that were attended by over 150 staff members from various sectors and branches. This is part of the Committee’s efforts to provide a working environment that balances the work and social life of female employees.
The lectures addressed a number of topics for female staff, to achieve an optimal balance between their working lives and family obligations. Educational specialists also gave lectures on successfully raising children of different ages, and how to meet and deal with challenges.
Fatima Al Jokar, Chairperson of DEWA Women’s Committee, praised the interest of the female staff to take part in the lectures. “These awareness lectures, which the Women’s Committee regularly organises, contribute to enhancing the role of women in the workplace and building cohesive, connected, and happy families. They are also in line with DEWA’s commitment to providing a happy, positive, and motivating work environment for female staff,” she said.
The female staff who participated in the lectures expressed their happiness with this initiative, which provided them with rich information that will have a positive impact on their practical and social lives.
