Office workers in a Glasgow city centre building feel like 007 when clocking in, according to two office agents who won a competition organised by agents Jones Lang LaSalle and GVA.
Fingerprint security scanners have been installed at Kintyre House on West George Street, home to Maven Capital Partners, Law At Work and Capita Hartshead.
Jones Lang LaSalle, acting on behalf of the building owners Bilsdale Properties, asked Office Agents why they loved the building.
Winner Scott McNicol, of McNicol Property, joked: “I like Kintyre House because of its James Bond-style fingerprint entry system”, while Alistair Urquhart of CBRE said: “The fingerprint entry system makes me feel like I’m entering the MI5 HQ.”
The building was completely refurbished during 2011. A bright, airy reception forms a welcoming arrival point, and contemporary quality finishes throughout include tiled floors and feature walls. CCTV monitoring and the fingerprint entry system provide excellent security.
Alistair Reid, associate director at Jones Lang LaSalle, said: “The James Bond references came from a competition we ran with a prize of £200 of gift vouchers for the best entry. We were really pleased to find that the surveyors feel like ‘Secret Agents’ when visiting the building.”
